Thorium-tungsten electrode is the electrode of tungsten added with 1-4% of THO2.The power of its electronic transgression is 2.7ev,40% less than that of pure tungsten electrode. With a low arc derivation voltage,it’seasy tuo cause arc of high stability. Its current capacity is elevated 30% while its rate of burn spoilage drops low,making it more durable. Thorium-tungsten electrode is fairly widely applied in direct current welding.
